Sapphire, Negative Employee, and Customer

by Chance Kelsey on Wednesday, June 10, 2009

I went to a small convince store on Monday (Monday, June 8, 2009), and as soon as I walked in there was this black man, and this black female clerk arguing. She kept calling him a nigger, and asking him to leave. He only once in awhile may have used the word nigger himself.  A male co worker was on the phone calling security. The co worker was not black he was Latino or some other ethnicity.

I didn’t know what caused the argument to break out, it was already in progress.
Then the black man said — you see this is how many black women are. The man said something about the hood, and the black woman said she was familiar with the hood. It seems like the young black man came into the store and created some kind of problem.

I bought myself a soda and left, and then right behind me the black guy came out and walked down the street. I then saw two security guards come to the store on their bicycles but the guy was gone. Constantly calling the man a nigger in front of a co worker, and him creating a problem in the store, only reinforces in the mind of people from other ethnic backgrounds — that blacks are a psychologically lower type racial group — that often have members who dislike other blacks.

I have noticed what many blacks have noticed, and that is that some blacks try to impress people by humiliating other blacks. Give a certain type of  blacks an audience, and what many of them will try to do is impress you by being negative. Now the black female clerk is a type of black woman that is called a Sapphire. Sapphire is a term for a loud mouth black woman who tries to emasculate a black man or any man from ethnic group with her mouth in private or in public.

Sapphire women even try to argue with other black women and women from other ethnic groups too. Basically any woman regardless of her ethnicity can be a sapphire. You even have men who are just like this too. Both the black female and black man in this situation called each other names. Like I say this was going on before I even entered the store.

The black man would not leave when asked multiple times to leave by the female clerk. He may have called her some horrible names before I came. She could have handled that in a more professionally manner, but she knew also that by him being black the police, and white society would care little about him as a person. I have seen black employees male and female act this way at other businesses.  Blacks both men and women need to treat each other better and with more respect, then other ethnicities will respect blacks too.
