Donna Mills, Chloe, and the Red Dress

by Chance Kelsey on Tuesday, June 2, 2009

I use to work as a clerk at a cleaner’s in West Los Angeles (Santa Monica, California), and one day actress Donna Mills came in her daughter Chloe. I was standing behind the counter looking for visible stains in the dark red dress.

There were two different colored tapes; one was Yellow and the other dark red.  When I saw a major stain I would put red tape by that stain. The dark red dress and tape were the exact same type of red color.

Chloe was standing next to Donna Mills her mother, and Chloe looked at me and said why are you putting red on top of red. It dawned on me that the two were the same color dark red, and it would be easier to see if I used yellow tape to mark the stains. The cleaner at the factory would have an easier time seeing the stains.

I said yeah you are right. And, I removed all of the red tape and replaced it with yellow tape. The wisdom of a child, this incident took place in the year 2000. Don’t quote me on this, but if I’m not mistaken, Chole had on a red dress herself that day. Chole was born in 1995. She had this semi curly brownish black hair, and was a very pretty little girl.

She would talk to the staff and was very friendly. Thanks for bringing that to my attention Chole. Kids sometimes pay close attention to details that adults miss.   It was simply common sense that she used.
